New Features in Zoner GIF Animator 5

Zoner GIF Animator 5 introduces a number of new functions for creating professional animations.

Trick Banners

Only Zoner GIF Animator 5 contains an easy-to-use tool for adding images that look like Windows system controls (dialogs, message boxes, etc.) as specially editable frames; this will help you tremendously when you create the "trick" banners of this sort so often seen on the Web. Texture Generator

In new Zoner GIF Animator 5 you can create hundreds of impressive bitmap textures (bricks, clouds, cell, bubbles, hardwood, ice, lunar surface, plasma, stones, etc.)

Restoring Original Animation States

Only Zoner GIF Animator 5 has a function for restoring animations' original states (frames), which otherwise tend to be lost, especially in the case of optimized aGIFs. This function can be used on all animated GIFs, even ones that were not created in Zoner GIF Animator 5. To find out more about restoring individual animation frames, click here.

Importing Vector Files

You can now import not only frames with bitmap images, but also vector files in the WMF and EMF formats. for example cliparts. Of course, we recommend you create vector graphics in Zoner Draw 4.

Higher Color Depth Allowed for Imported Images

You can now import bitmap images with a color depth above 256 colors. The full palettes for these images are stored in your animation file until you optimize it.

More Support for Vital Details

Special dialog for frame timing, toolbar for frame centering and aligning, support for Adobe Plug-Ins (bitmap effects) and Zoner Plug-Ins. The new tools also include a transformation tool for rotating and resizing frames and for bitmap trimming.

Solid Transparency

Besides the classic transparent color defined in an animated GIF's palette, you can now give frames a solid (alpha) transparency of 0-99%.

Improved Cooperation with Other Tools

You can now use a program of your choice to edit frames, and you can choose an external browser to preview animations.

Enhanced Optimization

The program has a new, improved algorithm for optimizing animations-minimizing their file size.
